Laws § 780.621a","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Sec. 1a.\n\nAs used in this act:\n\n\"Conviction\" means a judgment entered by a court upon a plea of guilty, guilty but mentally ill, or nolo contendere, or upon a jury verdict or court finding that a defendant is guilty or guilty but mentally ill.\n\n\"Traffic offense\" means a violation of the Michigan vehicle code, Act No. 300 of the Public Acts of 1949, being sections 257.1 to 257.923 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, or a local ordinance substantially corresponding to that act, which violation involves the operation of a vehicle and at the time of the violation is a felony or misdemeanor.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 780","Act Act-213-of-1965"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-780-621a","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"ea4482074d58afe16d13954e0886b3b79e9ee6d39af19b4f5e5faf669cf9e13c","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-780.621","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-780.621b"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
