Laws § 88.9","heading":"Compelling attendance at meetings; fines for nonattendance; sanctions for disorderly conduct; ordinance.","body":"Sec. 9.\n\nThe council, by ordinance, may compel the attendance of council members and other officers of the city at its meetings, may enforce fines for nonattendance of a member or officer, and may prescribe sanctions for any misbehavior or contemptuous or disorderly conduct by a member or a person present at a session of the council.
