Laws § 90.16","heading":"District court; jurisdiction; proceedings; applicable laws.","body":"Sec. 16.\n\nThe district court in the judicial district in which a city incorporated under this act is located has jurisdiction to hear, try, and determine a case for a violation of an ordinance of the city. Unless the case is a civil infraction action, proceedings in the district court shall be the same as in a prosecution to recover a penalty or forfeiture or to punish a violation of a criminal law of this state.
