Effect.\nA notarial act performed under the authority and in the jurisdiction of a federally recognized tribe has the same effect as if performed by a notarial officer of this state, if the act performed in the jurisdiction of that tribe or nation is performed by:\n(1) a notary public of that tribe;\n(2) a judge, clerk, or deputy clerk of a court of that tribe; or\n(3) any other individual authorized by the law of that tribe to perform the notarial act.\nSubd. 2. Significance of signature and title.\nThe signature and title of an individual performing a notarial act under the authority of and in the jurisdiction of a federally recognized tribe are prima facie evidence that the signature is genuine and that the individual holds the designated title.\nSubd. 3. Authority of officer established.\nThe signature and title of a notarial officer described in subdivision 1, clause (1) or (2), conclusively establish the authority of the officer to perform the notarial act.","path":["COURT AND FILING FEES; ATTESTATIONS","CHAPTER 358.
