Stat. § 190.035","heading":"Notice of election, contents.","body":"Each notice shall state briefly the purpose of the election, setting forth the proposition to be voted upon and a description of the territory. The notice shall further state that any district upon its establishment shall have the powers, objects and purposes provided by sections 190.005* to 190.085, and shall have the power to levy a property tax not to exceed thirty cents on the one hundred dollars valuation , or, in lieu of a property tax, to impose a sales tax in an amount not to exceed one-half of one percent on all retail sales made in such ambulance district which are subject to taxation pursuant to the provisions of sections 144.010 to 144.525.","path":["Title XII - PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELFARE","Chapter 190 - Emergency Services"],"source_url":"https://revisor.mo.gov/main/OneSection.aspx?section=190.035","current_through":"2026 legislative session (floor)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T22:23:25Z","sha256":"09ff6cdaa69c1b322bfe8fce7235fa428b80df4e1ee167dfd217ee1746fbacef","source_id":"us-mo","stale":false,"prev":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-190.030","next":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-190.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
