Any fire protection district which is authorized to provide emergency ambulance service within its district may provide such emergency ambulance service outside its district. When providing emergency ambulance service for a person who does or does not reside within the district, a fire protection district may assess and collect from such person a usual and customary fee for such service.\n2.
