Stat. § 379.1415","heading":"Confidentiality of records, exceptions.","body":"Information filed with the director is confidential and may not be disclosed without the prior written consent of the SPLRC, except:\n(1) Information is discoverable in civil litigation provided:\n(a) The SPLRC is found by the court to be a necessary party;\n(b) The party seeking the information demonstrates by a clear and convincing standard that the information sought is relevant and necessary; and\n(c) Where it is unavailable from other nonconfidential sources;\n(2) The director may disclose the information to insurance regulators if:\n(a) The regulator agrees in writing to maintain the confidentiality of the information; and\n(b) The laws of the state in which the regulator serves preserve confidentiality of the information;\n(3) In addition, the director may also disclose information to the Securities Exchange Commission if:\n(a) The SEC agrees in writing to maintain the confidentiality of the information; and\n(b) The SEC is authorized under securities law to request the information or the director is obligated to disclose the information.","path":["Title XXIV - BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS","Chapter 379 - Insurance Other Than Life"],"source_url":"https://revisor.mo.gov/main/OneSection.aspx?section=379.1415","current_through":"2026 legislative session (floor)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T22:23:27Z","sha256":"aba9f8117a5783383ee9ac78c6144c4abc160ad1fb42c656ce364ed7fdadd628","source_id":"us-mo","stale":false,"prev":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-379.1412","next":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-379.1418"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
