Stat. § 454.1545","heading":"Continuing, exclusive jurisdiction to modify spousal support order.","body":"(a) A tribunal of this state issuing a spousal support order consistent with the law of this state has continuing, exclusive jurisdiction to modify the spousal support order throughout the existence of the support obligation.\n(b) A tribunal of this state may not modify a spousal support order issued by a tribunal of another state or a foreign country having continuing, exclusive jurisdiction over that order under the law of that state or foreign country.\n(c) A tribunal of this state that has continuing, exclusive jurisdiction over a spousal support order may serve as:\n(1) an initiating tribunal to request a tribunal of another state to enforce the spousal support order issued in this state; or\n(2) a responding tribunal to enforce or modify its own spousal support order.","path":["Title XXX - DOMESTIC RELATIONS","Chapter 454 - Enforcement of Support Law"],"source_url":"https://revisor.mo.gov/main/OneSection.aspx?section=454.1545","current_through":"2026 legislative session (floor)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T22:23:28Z","sha256":"deadf757d60e9b8f28d7f6673cde79876408743098da50a2e1394ce79286f260","source_id":"us-mo","stale":false,"prev":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-454.1542","next":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-454.1548"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
