Stat. § 486.985","heading":"Production of electronic signature or seal, compromise of, requirements.","body":"1. Upon becoming aware that the status, functionality, or validity of the means for producing a registered electronic signature, notary seal, or single element combining the signature and seal, has changed, expired, terminated, or become compromised, the notary shall:\n(1) Immediately notify the secretary;\n(2) Cease producing seals or signatures in electronic notarizations using that means;\n(3) Perform electronic notarizations only with a currently registered means or another means that has been registered within thirty days; and\n(4) Dispose of any software, coding, disk, certificate, card, token, or program that has been rendered defunct, in the manner described in subsection 1 of section 486.995.\n2.
