Stat. § 620.465","heading":"Powers of division.","body":"The division of tourism shall have the following powers*:\n(1) To formulate a program for the promotion of tourism in Missouri, including the promotion of our state parks, fishing and hunting areas, historical shrines, vacation regions and areas of historic or scenic interest;\n(2) To cooperate with civic groups and local, state and federal departments and agencies, and agencies and departments of other states in encouraging educational tourism and developing programs therefor;\n(3) To publish tourist promotional material such as brochures and booklets;\n(4) To promote tourism in Missouri by articles and advertisements in magazines, newspapers, radio, television and travel publications and by establishing promotional exhibitions at travel shows and similar exhibitions;\n(5) To establish and maintain travel offices at major points of entry to the state;\n(6) To accept any grant of funds made to it for the promotion of tourism in Missouri;\n(7) To do such other acts as shall, in the judgment of the division, be necessary and proper in carrying out the purposes of sections 620.450 to 620.465.","path":["Title XL - ADDITIONAL EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS","Chapter 620 - Department of Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://revisor.mo.gov/main/OneSection.aspx?section=620.465","current_through":"2026 legislative session (floor)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T22:23:29Z","sha256":"d92fe531cce9bd15463882aed675627815395b1741a91b62cd9174d4837fa783","source_id":"us-mo","stale":false,"prev":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-620.460","next":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-620.466"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
