The division may provide or obtain respite care for an intellectually disabled or developmentally disabled person for respite care of up to twenty-one days which may be extended up to an additional twenty-one days for good cause shown. Any additional respite care beyond forty-two days within a one-year period shall be expressly approved by the director of the division.\n2.
