Stat. § 650.451","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As they appear in sections 650.450 to 650.460, the following words and terms shall mean:\n(1) \"Act\" , the public safety officer medal of valor act of 2004;\n(2) \"Board\" , the medal of valor review board as established by section 650.457;\n(3) \"Medal\" , a Missouri public safety medal of valor, which shall be of suitable design as may be determined by the governor;\n(4) \"Public safety officer\" , a person serving a public agency, with or without compensation, as a firefighter, law enforcement officer, or emergency personnel.
