Stat. § 86.053","heading":"Regular actuarial investigation.","body":"In the year 1933 and at least once in each five-year period thereafter the actuary shall make an actuarial investigation into the mortality, service and compensation experience of the members and beneficiaries of the retirement system and shall make a valuation of the assets and liabilities of the funds of the system and taking into account the results of such investigation and valuation the board of trustees shall:\n(1) Adopt for the retirement system such mortality, service and other tables as shall be deemed necessary;\n(2) Certify the rates of contribution payable by the members under the provisions of sections 86.010 to 86.193; and\n(3) Certify the rates of contribution payable by the said cities in accordance with section 86.153.","path":["Title VII - CITIES, TOWNS AND VILLAGES","Chapter 86 - Police Relief and Pension Systems"],"source_url":"https://revisor.mo.gov/main/OneSection.aspx?section=86.053","current_through":"2026 legislative session (floor)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T22:23:25Z","sha256":"a5e5823cbe8e18caf480614ea52b3a3ec6b92adc9d3f44c5edf2b662ef666d51","source_id":"us-mo","stale":false,"prev":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-86.050","next":"us-mo/mo.-rev.-stat.-86.057"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
