Code Ann. § 17-27-3","body":"The Legislature finds the following:\n\n(a) Population growth as well as development in historical communities result in new and increased demands for public facilities and services that promote the public peace, health, safety, and general welfare;\n\n(b) The residents and property owners in these communities should have reasonable methods available so they can provide these public facilities and services; and\n\n(c) The ability of residents and property owners in historical communities to propose the establishment of municipal historical hamlets is a method to fulfill the demands for these much needed public facilities and services.","path":["MS Code","Title 17"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"04c64e1337daf64ff786c6fb897c8893272c7ac394ccd7d86c1aa27e1791f01c","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-17-27-11","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-17-27-5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
