Code Ann. § 25-34-21","body":"(1) A notarial act may be performed in this state by:\n\n(a) A notary public of this state;\n\n(b) An elected judge, a clerk or deputy clerk of a court of this state; or\n\n(c) The Mississippi Secretary of State or a Mississippi Assistant Secretary of State.\n\n(2) The signature and title of an individual performing a notarial act in this state are prima facie evidence that the signature is genuine and that the individual holds the designated title.\n\n(3) The signature and title of a notarial officer described in subsection (1) conclusively establish the authority of the officer to perform the notarial act.","path":["MS Code","Title 25"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"79dfab4dc9bc34f1c5db4db22631a170f91ff8d43ab6365d024a3e4b61a2d1e1","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-25-34-19","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-25-34-23"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
