Code Ann. § 25-55-27","body":"(1) Any officer issuing duplicates of bonds shall keep a record showing:\n\n(a) The numbers, dates and amounts of such mutilated, lost or destroyed bonds and of the coupons thereto attached;\n\n(b) The date of the issuance of the duplicate;\n\n(c) The name of the person to whom the duplicate was issued; and\n\n(d) The name of the sureties and penalty of the indemnity bond, if a bond is required.\n\nThe officer issuing duplicates of bonds shall preserve the bond and affidavit taken in each case.\n\n(2) Any officer issuing duplicates of warrants shall keep a record showing:\n\n(a) The numbers, dates and amounts of such mutilated, lost, or destroyed warrants;\n\n(b) The date of issuance of the duplicate; and\n\n(c) The name of the person to whom issued.\n\nThe officer issuing duplicates of warrants shall preserve the affidavit taken in each case.","path":["MS Code","Title 25"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"b5749064db4d502e9891e4bdb25f67e99b52597e3daf362fe461fc17ec5e365b","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-25-55-25","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-25-55-28"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
