Code Ann. § 27-41-5","body":"The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all municipalities in the State of Mississippi, including those operating under special charters, provided, however, that municipalities operating under special charters, wherein ad valorem taxes become delinquent on any date other than February 1, may continue to collect such taxes as heretofore, and provided, further, that such municipalities operating under special charter may by ordinance provide for the payment of municipal ad valorem taxes in installments as is provided in this chapter except that such municipality shall have the power to fix the dates of the payment of the installments other than those fixed by this chapter.","path":["MS Code","Title 27"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"ba7e8d64ac1ae3c856dfdbdf798ac758a5e994317bd4ba675d1dee75a9d6785e","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-27-41-49","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-27-41-51"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
