Code Ann. § 27-71-303","body":"Upon each person approved for a permit to engage in the business of selling light wines, light spirit products or beer there is hereby imposed, levied and assessed, to be collected and paid as herein provided, annual privilege taxes in the following amounts:\n\n(a)\n\nRetailers--for each place of business․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․\n\n․․․$ 30.00\n\n(b)\n\nWholesalers or distributors--for each county․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․\n\n․․․$ 100.00\n\n(c)\n\nManufacturers--for each place of business․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․\n\n․․․$1,000.00\n\n(d)\n\nBrewpubs--for each place of business․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․\n\n․․․$1,000.00\n\n(e)\n\nMicrobrewery--for each place of business․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․\n\n․․․$1,000.00\n\n(f)\n\nSmall craft brewery--for each place of business․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․․\n\n․․․$1,000.00\n\nUpon each person operating an airline, bus, boat or railroad car upon which light wines, light spirit products or beer may be sold there is hereby imposed, levied and assessed, to be collected and paid, annual privilege taxes of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) for each airplane, bus, boat or railroad car so operated in this state.\n\nProvided, however, the amount of the privilege tax to be paid for a permit issued for a period of less than twelve (12) months shall be that proportionate amount of the annual privilege tax that the number of months, or part of a month, remaining until its expiration date bears to twelve (12) months, but in no case shall the privilege tax be less than Ten Dollars ($10.00).","path":["MS Code","Title 27"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"229b92af9f8b443025a9672bd32078a592ab1f9531b2d7fa1b71d8792f52c951","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-27-71-301","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-27-71-305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
