Code Ann. § 37-132-1","body":"As used in this chapter, “student teacher” or “intern” shall mean a student enrolled in an institution of higher learning approved by the state board of education for teacher training and who is jointly assigned by such institution of higher learning and a board of education to student-teach or intern under the direction of a regularly employed certificated teacher, principal, or other administrator.
