Code Ann. § 37-23-175","body":"For purposes of Sections 37-23-171 through 37-23-181 , the following terms shall have the following meanings unless the context shall prescribe otherwise:\n\n(a) “Gifted children” shall mean children who are found to have an exceptionally high degree of intellect, and/or academic, creative or artistic ability.\n\n(b) “Gifted education” shall mean programs for instruction of intellectually gifted children within Grades 2 through 12 and programs for instruction of academically gifted children within Grades 9 through 12 and programs for instruction of creative or artistically gifted children within Grades 2 through 12 of the public elementary and secondary schools of this state.
