Code Ann. § 37-31-207","body":"The State Board of Education shall have the following duties:\n\n(a) To seek the best available projections of employment and occupations for Mississippians;\n\n(b) To utilize these projections and other considerations to set vocational and technical education priorities;\n\n(c) To utilize the services of all state agencies having information regarding the purposes of this chapter;\n\n(d) To cooperate with the governor's office of job development and training and the board of economic development to prevent duplication and provide continuity of employment and training services;\n\n(e) To conduct evaluations of the success or failure of vocational-technical programs, including the extent to which training actually leads to jobs in the field in which the student was trained;\n\n(f) Obtain and publish data and information on program performance from those vocational-technical programs receiving state funds; and\n\n(g) To notify local school districts and public community/junior colleges prior to March 1 annually of any discontinuation of ongoing vocational programs which would affect the renewing of contracts with vocational personnel.","path":["MS Code","Title 37"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"80995b2ab5be6b0eaa31ac5b9a77a70e8c8c698008631cafb07015c872b66b81","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-37-31-205","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-37-31-211"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
