Code Ann. § 41-20-1","body":"As used in sections 41-20-1 through 41-20-11 , the following terms shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates a different meaning:\n\n(a) “ Community mental health center ” means a facility authorized under Section 41-19-33 .\n\n(b) “ Mental health services ” includes all services offered by the mental health system in Mississippi, including, but not limited to, the following:\n\n(i) Community mental health services, including:\n\n1. Programs of assertive community treatment;\n\n2. Mobile crisis response services;\n\n3. Crisis stabilization units;\n\n4. Community support services;\n\n5. Peer support services;\n\n6. Supported employment; and\n\n7. Permanent supported housing; and\n\n(ii) Institutional mental health services, which are services that encompass civil commitment or hospitalization in a psychiatric hospital;\n\n(iii) Mental health services provided in facilities authorized in Title 47, Mississippi Code of 1972;\n\n(iv) Core adult mental health services;\n\n(v) Child mental health services;\n\n(vi) Intellectual/developmental disability services;\n\n(vii) Substance abuse prevention and treatment/rehabilitation services; and\n\n(viii) Any combination of the services defined in this paragraph (b).\n\n(c) “ Mental health system ” means the facilities, institutions, centers, entities, persons and providers that provide mental health services in Mississippi.\n\n(d) “ Regional commission ” means a commission established in Section 41-19-33 .","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"73c10f57831b005a34c53d0acac6e0c245bfe614446b9ee51a0c14cc4ba99ff7","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-19-91","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-20-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
