Code Ann. § 41-20-51","body":"For the purposes of Sections 41-20-51 and 41-20-53 , the following words and phrases shall have the meanings as defined in this section, unless the context clearly requires otherwise:\n\n(a) “ National Suicide Prevention Lifeline ” or “ NSPL ” means the national program that operates the national suicide prevention and mental health crisis hotline system;\n\n(b) “ 9-8-8 ” means the universal telephone number for the national suicide prevention and mental health crisis hotline system;\n\n(c) “ 9-8-8 crisis hotline center ” means a state identified and funded center participating in the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Network to respond to statewide or regional 9-8-8 calls;\n\n(d) “ SAMHSA ” means the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration;\n\n(e) “Mobile crisis response teams” include behavioral health professionals and peers that provide professional onsite community-based intervention such as de-escalation, stabilization, etc., for individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"8178270c4b6efac828bd0f6ac952235885176ad41e41fe1ad94189003f0b070c","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-20-5","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-20-53"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
