Code Ann. § 41-29-146","body":"(1) It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, produce, manufacture or possess with the intent to sell, produce, manufacture, distribute or dispense any substance which is falsely represented to be a prescription or legend drug or a controlled substance.\n\n(2) The provisions of this section shall not apply to a law enforcement officer acting in the course and scope of his employment or to a medical practitioner, pharmacist or other person authorized to dispense or administer controlled substances.\n\n(3) Any person who violates this section shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a felony and may be punished by confinement in the custody of the Department of Corrections for not more than five (5) years or by a fine of not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or both.","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"8da97f9853a255672a36319c0b1225729a8cad144d479244a01c7a7a55501ad9","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-29-145","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-29-147"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
