Code Ann. § 41-39-107","body":"Subject to Section 41-39-115 , an anatomical gift of a donor's body or part may be made during the life of the donor for the purpose of transplantation, therapy, research, or education in the manner provided in Section 41-39-109 by:\n\n(1) The donor, if the donor is an adult or if the donor is a minor and is:\n\n(A) Emancipated; or\n\n(B) Authorized under state law to apply for a driver's license because the donor is at least eighteen (18) years of age;\n\n(2) An agent of the donor, unless the power of attorney for health care or other record prohibits the agent from making an anatomical gift;\n\n(3) A parent of the donor, if the donor is an unemancipated minor; or\n\n(4) The donor's guardian.","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"039d01a1286325924bcf3c061275a1609b1564aa0326c70a3dfcd50ee26ee535","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-39-105","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-39-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
