Code Ann. § 41-41-139","body":"(1) This section applies only to an abortion authorized under Section 41-41-141(1) in which:\n\n(a) The probable gestational age of the unborn child is twenty (20) or more weeks; or\n\n(b) The probable gestational age of the unborn child has not been determined but could reasonably be twenty (20) or more weeks.\n\n(2) A physician performing or inducing an abortion under subsection (1) of this section shall terminate the pregnancy in the manner that, in the physician's reasonable medical judgment, provides the best opportunity for the unborn child to survive.","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"d1a5bb0f2e82fbdbe7489a9bfa87873aa8cacaae01678eefbd1676045685f654","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-41-137","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-41-14"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
