Code Ann. § 41-41-207","body":"(1) An individual may revoke the designation of an agent only by a signed writing or by personally informing the supervising health-care provider.\n\n(2) An individual may revoke all or part of an advance health-care directive, other than the designation of an agent, at any time and in any manner that communicates an intent to revoke.\n\n(3) A health-care provider, agent, guardian, or surrogate who is informed of a revocation shall promptly communicate the fact of the revocation to the supervising health-care provider and to any health-care institution at which the patient is receiving care.\n\n(4) A decree of annulment, divorce, dissolution of marriage, or legal separation revokes a previous designation of a spouse as agent unless otherwise specified in the decree or in a power of attorney for health care.\n\n(5) An advance health-care directive that conflicts with an earlier advance health-care directive revokes the earlier directive to the extent of the conflict.","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"25a8b987f2f036082c4cad483837881c2bc367d95398dba920fb9694c6d5d842","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-41-205","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-41-209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
