Code Ann. § 41-41-51","body":"For purposes of Sections 41-41-51 through 41-41-63 , the following definitions shall apply:\n\n(a) “Minor” means any person under the age of eighteen (18) years;\n\n(b) “Emancipated minor” means any minor who is or has been married or has by court order or otherwise been freed from the care, custody and control of her parents;\n\n(c) “Abortion” means the use of any instrument, medicine, drug or any other substance or device with intent to terminate the pregnancy of a woman known to be pregnant, with intent other than to increase the probability of a live birth, to preserve the life or health of the child after live birth, or to remove a dead fetus.","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"d8b32d97c0b17e353a55b4a2875c339971df594b0a30369346bb554f3676a757","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-41-45","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-41-53"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
