Code Ann. § 41-57-43","body":"It shall be the duty of the state registrar of vital statistics, in addition to the duties now required of him by law, to carry into effect the provisions of law relating to registration of marriages and the rules, regulations and orders of the State Board of Health which may be promulgated pursuant to Section 41-57-45 . The said State Board of Health shall provide for such clerical and other assistance as may be necessary, and may fix the compensation of persons thus employed.
