Code Ann. § 41-71-1","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(a) “ Home health agency ” means a public or privately owned agency or organization, or a subdivision of such an agency or organization, properly authorized to conduct business in Mississippi, which is primarily engaged in providing to individuals, at the written direction of a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant or clinical nurse specialist, in the individual's place of residence, skilled nursing services provided by or under the supervision of a registered nurse licensed to practice in Mississippi, and one or more of the following services or items:\n\n(i) Physical, occupational or speech therapy;\n\n(ii) Medical social services;\n\n(iii) Part-time or intermittent services of a home health aide;\n\n(iv) Other services as approved by the licensing agency;\n\n(v) Medical supplies, other than drugs and biologicals, and the use of medical appliances; or\n\n(vi) Medical services provided by an intern or resident in training at a hospital under a teaching program of such hospital.\n\n(b) “ Licensing agency ” means the State Department of Health.","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"72160772bda04ae3e6a524afe67b20dd3d488b14ddeb9676c22e4331a457dafc","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-67-9","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-71-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
