Code Ann. § 41-85-25","body":"(1) It is unlawful for any person or public body to offer or advertise to the public in any way by any medium whatever to be a hospice as defined in this chapter without obtaining a valid current license. It is unlawful for any holder of a license issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter to advertise or hold out to the public that it holds a license for a hospice program other than that for which it actually holds a license.\n\n(2) Any person found guilty of violating subsection (1) is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable, upon conviction, by a fine of not more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) or by imprisonment in the county jail for not greater than six (6) months, or both.
