Code Ann. § 41-93-3","body":"The purposes of this chapter are:\n\n(a) To create a statewide program to promote public awareness and knowledge about the causes of osteoporosis, personal risk factors, the value of prevention and early detection and the options available for treatment;\n\n(b) To enhance knowledge and understanding of osteoporosis by disseminating educational materials, information about research results, services and strategies for prevention and treatment to patients, health professionals and the public;\n\n(c) To help provide easy access to clear, complete and accurate osteoporosis information and referral services;\n\n(d) To heighten awareness about the prevention, detection and treatment of osteoporosis among state and local health and human service officials, health educators and policy makers; and\n\n(e) To promote the development of support groups for osteoporosis patients and their families and caregivers.","path":["MS Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"3a1353c18107488512fcaceb6f4998367b4c66e54123b2b33b827d2f1b8c6fcd","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-93-1","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-41-93-5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
