Code Ann. § 43-35-219","body":"Prior to the authorization, issuance, and subsequent validation of bonds issued under this article, the issuing authority shall have secured the legal services of a competent practicing attorney or firm of attorneys. However, in no instance shall the attorney's fees paid for the issuance or refunding of such bonds exceed the following amounts, to-wit:\n\nOn all such bond issues the attorney's fees shall not exceed one percent (1%) of the first one million dollars ($1,000,000.00); one-half percent ( 1 / 2 %) of all over one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) and not more than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00); and one-fourth percent ( 1 / 4 %) of all amounts in excess of two million dollars ($2,000,000.00).","path":["MS Code","Title 43"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"daebccc12e5ae1d55ff8f2c90051b919ca574d28ab17fb4b214718e3109c720f","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-43-35-217","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-43-35-23"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
