Code Ann. § 45-38-11","body":"(1) In relation to a known minor's use of a digital service, a digital service provider shall make commercially reasonable efforts to develop and implement a strategy to prevent or mitigate the known minor's exposure to harmful material and other content that promotes or facilitates the following harms to minors:\n\n(a) Consistent with evidence-informed medical information, the following: self-harm, eating disorders, substance use disorders, and suicidal behaviors;\n\n(b) Patterns of use that indicate or encourage substance abuse or use of illegal drugs;\n\n(c) Stalking, physical violence, online bullying, or harassment;\n\n(d) Grooming, trafficking, child pornography, or other sexual exploitation or abuse;\n\n(e) Incitement of violence; or\n\n(f) Any other illegal activity.\n\n(2) Nothing in subsection (1) shall be construed to require a digital service provider to prevent or preclude:\n\n(a) Any minor from deliberately and independently searching for, or specifically requesting, content; or\n\n(b) The digital service provider or individuals on the digital service from providing resources for the prevention or mitigation of the harms described in subsection (1), including evidence-informed information and clinical resources.","path":["MS Code","Title 45"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"a86b8e170ce163d7486c721d3c95fa936038c01271fddbf6b5e8b9c52694b641","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-45-38-1","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-45-38-13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
