Code Ann. § 47-7-6","body":"(1) The Parole Board, with the assistance of the Department of Corrections, shall collect the following information:\n\n(a) The number of offenders supervised on parole;\n\n(b) The number of offenders released on parole;\n\n(c) The number of parole hearings held;\n\n(d) The parole grant rate for parolees released with and without a hearing;\n\n(e) The average length of time offenders spend on parole;\n\n(f) The number and percentage of parolees revoked for a technical violation and returned for a term of imprisonment in a technical violation center;\n\n(g) The number and percentage of parolees revoked for a technical violation and returned for a term of imprisonment in another type of Department of Corrections' facility;\n\n(h) The number and percentage of parolees who are convicted of a new offense and returned for a term of imprisonment on their current crime as well as the new crime;\n\n(i) The number of parolees held on a violation in county jail awaiting a revocation hearing; and\n\n(j) The average length of stay in a county jail for parolees awaiting a revocation hearing.\n\n(2) The Parole Board shall semiannually report information required in subsection (1) to the Oversight Task Force, and upon request, shall report such information to the PEER Committee.","path":["MS Code","Title 47"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"3a7692293e80f8c571875523b45ca6aba53fae9a59ba89471c5b2eb7ad30cc17","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-47-7-55","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-47-7-71"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
