Code Ann. § 49-1-60","body":"(1) The department is hereby authorized to purchase liability insurance to cover the following:\n\n(a) Any officer in charge and control of an armory used for firearm instruction in the State of Mississippi, as a part of the Mississippi Hunter Safety Program;\n\n(b) Any Mississippi certified hunter and firearm instructor, while participating in the Mississippi Hunter Safety Program; and\n\n(c) Any student participating in hunter safety courses sponsored by the department's Hunter Safety Program and being taught by a hunter safety instructor certified by the department's Hunter Safety Program.\n\n(2) The premium for such liability insurance shall be paid from the Fisheries and Wildlife Fund.","path":["MS Code","Title 49"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"faae51134b3651f6265feb511631d49ebcccbdae09c76ede17085789ca1cf3c3","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-49-1-57","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-49-1-65"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
