Code Ann. § 49-17-517","body":"(1) After August 31, 1998, it is unlawful for an individual who does not possess a valid lead-based paint inspector certificate to work as an inspector on a lead-based paint activity.\n\n(2) To qualify for a lead-based paint inspector certificate, an applicant shall:\n\n(a) Have a high school diploma or its equivalent;\n\n(b) Satisfactorily complete an accredited training program for lead-based paint inspectors; and\n\n(c) Demonstrate to the satisfaction of the commission that the applicant is familiar with and capable of complying fully with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.","path":["MS Code","Title 49"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"72bb79addb0c5acd023caeb6e6af9721066f75c0cafce4fe81bbbf415b8b4064","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-49-17-516","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-49-17-518"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
