Code Ann. § 59-21-89","body":"(1) It is unlawful for any person, other than a law enforcement officer on duty, to use or display oscillating or rotating blue lights on a vessel operating on the public waters of this state. Upon the approach of an authorized law enforcement vessel operating a strobe, rotating or oscillating blue light or giving audible signal by siren or both, the operator of a vessel shall yield the right-of-way and shall stop and remain in position until the authorized law enforcement vessel has passed, except when otherwise directed by a law enforcement officer.\n\n(2) A person violating this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).","path":["MS Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"2babe9dac5ea26c66902af42d22ff5a901a4fc5232d90f53efc1a50d3a565101","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-59-21-87","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-59-21-9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
