Code Ann. § 63-1-220","body":"(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any driver who violates or fails to comply with an out-of-service order is subject to a penalty of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00), in addition to disqualification under this article.\n\n(2) Any employer who violates an out-of-service order, or who knowingly requires or permits a driver to violate or fail to comply with an out-of-service order, is subject to a penalty of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00).\n\n(3) The fine imposed for a speeding violation of a commercial motor vehicle operating in excess of fifteen (15) miles per hour over the legally posted speed limit on any highway shall be one and one-half (1- 1 / 2 ) times the fine imposed for a speeding violation in other vehicles.","path":["MS Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"1d5d0529075b73718800aa0d67ac069f4ac1b1c4957d25f0ae2dd0602f2e3dae","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-63-1-219","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-63-1-221"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
