Code Ann. § 63-21-251","body":"The following terms shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:\n\n(a) “ Beneficiary designation ” means the designation by an owner of a motor vehicle of a beneficiary of the vehicle as provided by Section 63-21-261 .\n\n(b) “ Designated beneficiary ” means a person designated as a beneficiary of an owner's interest in a motor vehicle under Section 63-21-261 .\n\n(c) “ Joint owner with right of survivorship ” or “ joint owner ” means a person who owns a motor vehicle concurrently with one or more other persons with a right of survivorship.\n\n(d) “ Motor vehicle ” shall have the same meaning as the term as defined in Section 63-21-5(l) .","path":["MS Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"8b6b55686a980eb7da21b92c9ee2b62965228ae1e80363e41996252aaa9b1d4c","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-63-21-25","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-63-21-253"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
