Code Ann. § 63-21-253","body":"(1) An owner of a motor vehicle may transfer the owner's interest in the motor vehicle to a sole beneficiary effective on the owner's death by designating a beneficiary as provided by Section 63-21-261 .\n\n(2) A beneficiary designation is:\n\n(a) Subject to Section 63-21-255 , revocable and may be changed at any time without the consent of the designated beneficiary as provided by Section 63-21-261 ;\n\n(b) A nontestamentary instrument; and\n\n(c) Effective without:\n\n(A) Notice or delivery to or acceptance by the designated beneficiary during the owner's life; or\n\n(B) Consideration.\n\n(3) A will may not revoke or supersede a beneficiary designation, regardless of when the will is made.\n\n(4) A designated beneficiary may disclaim the designated beneficiary's interest in the motor vehicle as provided by applicable law.","path":["MS Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"a26f2cd898bfae552c39dc03732d357c86dd5e73862a85298385a07ff5f0bdbc","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-63-21-251","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-63-21-255"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
