Code Ann. § 65-3-143.18","body":"(1) The following segment of highway is designated as a state highway and placed under the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission for construction and maintenance; and such highway, together with the highways designated in Section 65-3-3 , and all other laws adding links to the designated state highway system, are declared to be the state highway system of Mississippi:\n\nCentral District--Madison County:\n\nThat segment of newly constructed highway extending from U.S. 51 and extending easterly to its intersection with U.S. 43 (MDOT Project NCPD-6993-00(001)/104137-301000), on the east side of the City of Canton, which shall be designated as a part of Mississippi 16.\n\n(2) The Mississippi Transportation Commission shall take over and assume responsibility for construction and maintenance of the segment of highway described in subsection (1).","path":["MS Code","Title 65"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"38132ebd7ba0ec64c79a17b99dc4966f30cea1e1f6eb8f49cd34035a27590d8f","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-65-3-143.17","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-65-3-143.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
