Code Ann. § 67-1-201","body":"In addition to the definitions provided in Section 67-1-5 , which apply to this article, the following terms as used in this article shall have the following meanings unless otherwise required by the context:\n\n(a) “ Commissioner ” means the Commissioner of Revenue.\n\n(b) “ Construction contractor ” means an entity contracting with the Department of Finance and Administration to design and construct a warehouse under this article.\n\n(c) “ Occasional improvements ” means items of maintenance, repairs, upgrades or other improvements for the warehouse or its equipment that are not performed on a monthly basis.\n\n(d) “ Regular maintenance ” means monthly overhead expenses, including, but not limited to, utilities, cleaning services and lawn care.\n\n(e) “ Shipping costs ” means the cost to the department per case of alcoholic beverages delivered from the warehouse to the permittee's premises.\n\n(f) “ State ” means the State of Mississippi.\n\n(g) “ Warehouse ” or “ new warehouse ” means a liquor distribution warehouse constructed under this article.\n\n(h) “ Warehouse operator ” or “ operator ” means an entity contracting with the department to perform warehouse and distribution operations.\n\n(i) “ Warehouse and distribution operations ” or “ operations ” means services provided to or on behalf of the state for the management of the warehouse and the distribution of alcoholic beverages. “ Warehouse and distribution operations ” or “ operations ” may include shipping; however, nothing herein shall preclude the department from entering into separate contracts for operations and for shipping.","path":["MS Code","Title 67"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"55bff986acd6385a528cbe4c5959565afcc867fac6f07ee4b37d714712e0da5f","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-67-1-19","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-67-1-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
