Code Ann. § 69-29-117","body":"It shall be unlawful for:\n\n(a) Any person to use any brand or mark for branding cattle or other livestock unless the brand or mark is registered with the Department of Agriculture and Commerce;\n\n(b) Any person to obliterate, alter or deface the brand or mark of any animals;\n\n(c) Any livestock market to receive and sell livestock unless records of such sale are kept in accordance with the requirements of this article;\n\n(d) Any livestock market to fail to keep a copy of the register of brands and marks furnished to them by the department in a place easily accessible to interested parties;\n\n(e) Any livestock hide dealer to fail or refuse to keep records required by subsection (c) of Section 69-29-113 .","path":["MS Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"7a0cbf9e375fe7a7921f1e9ec21847176c390844acd70a47c7905c830b488899","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-69-29-115","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-69-29-119"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
