Code Ann. § 71-3-217","body":"In order to qualify as a private sector drug-free workplace and to qualify for the provisions of Section 71-3-207 , and in addition to the educational program provided in Section 71-3-215 , an employer must provide all supervisory personnel a minimum of two (2) hours of training prior to the institution of a drug-free workplace program under Sections 71-3-201 through 71-3-225 , and each year thereafter which should include, but is not limited to, the following:\n\n(a) Recognition of evidence of employee alcohol and other drug abuse;\n\n(b) Documentation and corroboration of employee alcohol and other drug abuse;\n\n(c) Referral of alcohol and other drug abusing employees to the proper treatment providers;\n\n(d) Recognition of the benefits of referring alcohol and other drug abusing employees to treatment programs, in terms of employee health and safety and company savings; and\n\n(e) Explanation of any employee health insurance of HMO coverage for alcohol and other drug problems.","path":["MS Code","Title 71"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"892af3c98013d2bd0f17f446895b3f4c914dfbaa141acc17e479321dae5cafa4","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-71-3-215","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-71-3-219"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
