Code Ann. § 73-1-5","body":"The State Board of Architecture is composed of five (5) members who are licensed architects residing in this state and who have been engaged in the practice of architecture not less than seven (7) years. It is the duty of the board to carry out the purposes of this chapter as herein provided.\n\nThe Governor shall appoint the members of the board, and each member shall serve for a term of five (5) years. The terms shall be staggered so that the term of not more than one (1) member shall expire each year on June 1.\n\nEach member shall hold over after the expiration of his term until his successor is duly appointed and qualified. The Governor shall fill any vacancy occurring in the membership of the board for the unexpired term of such membership.
