Code Ann. § 73-5-43","body":"Each of the following constitutes a misdemeanor, punishable in any court of competent jurisdiction, upon conviction thereof, by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00):\n\nThe violation of any of the provisions of Sections 73-5-9 , 73-5-33 and 73-5-23 ; or\n\nAny acts or threats of violence against any members or employees of the board; or\n\nObtaining or attempting to obtain a certificate of registration for money other than the required fee, or any other thing of value, or by fraudulent misrepresentation; or\n\nPracticing or attempting to practice by fraudulent misrepresentation; or\n\nThe willful failure to display a certificate of registration as required by Section 73-5-23 ; or\n\nThe use of any room or place for barbering which is also used for residential or business purpose (except for the sale of hair tonics, lotions, creams, cutlery, toilet articles, cigars, tobacco and such commodities as are used or sold in a barbershop) unless a substantial partition of ceiling height separates the portion used for the residence or business purpose from that in which such practice of barbering is carried on.","path":["MS Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"e25f53ad0cd48f735b23a12069c22c222d10b8e1fba905b2ef4a3fbfaa5a293b","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-5-41","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-5-45"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
