Code Ann. § 73-60-1","body":"The following words shall have the meaning ascribed in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:\n\n(a) “ Client ” means any person who engages or seeks to engage the services of a home inspector for the purpose of obtaining an inspection of and written report on the conditions of a residential building.\n\n(b) “ Home inspection ” means the process by which a home inspector examines the observable systems and components of improvements to residential real property that are readily accessible.\n\n(c) “ Home inspection report ” means a written evaluation prepared and issued by a home inspector concerning the condition of the improvements to residential real property.\n\n(d) “ Home inspector ” means any person, who for compensation, conducts a home inspection.\n\n(e) “ Residential real property ” means a structure intended to be, or that is in fact, used as a residence and consisting of one (1) to four (4) family dwelling units.\n\n(f) “ Appraisal Board ” means the Mississippi Real Estate Appraisal Board as established under Section 73-34-8, Mississippi Code of 1972 .\n\n(g) “ Home Inspector Board ” means the Home Inspector Regulatory Board that is created pursuant to this chapter.","path":["MS Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"80d7cd1e09cdf9e51899b813b60323109d8d673c499ade92b610038fc252e652","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-6-9","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-60-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
