Code Ann. § 73-65-13","body":"(1) The board may deny any application, or suspend or revoke any license held or applied for under the provisions of Section 73-65-7 if the person:\n\n(a) Is found guilty of fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation in procuring or attempting to procure a license to practice art therapy;\n\n(b) Is adjudicated mentally incompetent;\n\n(c) Is found guilty of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude;\n\n(d) Is found guilty of unprofessional or unethical conduct in this or any other jurisdiction;\n\n(e) Has been using any controlled substance or alcoholic beverage to an extent or in a manner dangerous to the person, any other person, or the public, or to an extent that the use impairs the ability to perform as a licensed professional art therapist;\n\n(f) Has violated any provision of this chapter; or\n\n(g) Willfully or negligently divulges a professional confidence.\n\n(2) A certified copy of the record of conviction shall be conclusive evidence of the conviction.\n\n(3) Disciplinary proceedings may be initiated upon the receipt by the board of a sworn complaint by any person, including members of the board.","path":["MS Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"edbf89497cbab93e43b31fd16f56c90f7f051c100d713c01ef9f06aa27ddbb93","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-65-11","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-65-15"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
