Code Ann. § 73-65-5","body":"The board shall:\n\n(a) Promulgate regulations necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter;\n\n(b) Require that all applicants register for, take and pass the Art Therapy Credentials Board Examination as administered by the Art Therapy Credentials Board, Inc.;\n\n(c) Establish the application deadline for and score required to pass the examination;\n\n(d) Process applications and review the required examinations;\n\n(e) Issue licenses to applicants who meet the requirements of Section 73-65-7 or 73-65-9 ;\n\n(f) Deny, suspend or revoke a license to practice art therapy;\n\n(g) Censure, reprimand, or place a license holder or applicant on probation for a period not to exceed one (1) year;\n\n(h) Maintain a current register of license holders as a matter of public record;\n\n(i) Establish criteria for continuing education;\n\n(j) Establish procedures for receiving, investigating and resolving complaints against license holders;\n\n(k) Approve the level of supervision and experience required for persons seeking licensure;\n\n(l) Assess fees for the issuance and renewal of licenses to cover expenses of the board in administering this chapter; any increase in the fees charged by the board under this paragraph shall be in accordance with the provisions of Section 41-3-65 ;\n\n(m) Implement an impaired professional art therapist treatment program; and\n\n(n) Adopt a code of ethics as established by the Art Therapy Credentials Board, Inc.","path":["MS Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"5f31fd87065ef9b65a2070b992084164d8522d3feedd25d52c277b79d7bc243f","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-65-3","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-65-7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
